Wellington
NAATI recertification points: 10
We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Wellington branch meet-up in celebration of the International Translation Day, even though it’s not on the actual date! This event promises to be both insightful and enjoyable, featuring a captivating presentation by our very own NZSTI member, Fahim Afarinasadi.
Presentation highlight:
Inter in Iran: A dream that came true
Fahim will share insights from his pioneering PhD research, which developed a framework for football clubs to localise their online content for specific audiences, focusing on Inter Milan. With the arrival of an Iranian player at Inter Milan, this dream has come true. Fahim will discuss how the club has responded to its growing Persian-speaking fan base, examining the successes and missed opportunities in their recent localisation efforts.
Following the presentation, we’ll head over to Home Taste Restaurant and Bar (Chinese cuisine) for a relaxed dinner and drinks. The first drink is on us for all NZSTI members, so be sure to join us for a fun and engaging evening.
