Student membership of NZSTI

Join NZSTI while you are still studying!

NZSTI has created a membership category just for students, so you can join Aotearoa New Zealand's professional body of translators and interpreters while you're still studying in order to benefit from exposure to the industry, contact with language professionals, access to professional development events, and updates on what's happening in the industry.

Key info

• You must be currently living in New Zealand and studying at a NZ tertiary institution.
• You must provide a paid fees invoice as proof of your current enrolment.
• The joining fee is waived for student membership applications.
• An annual membership fee is charged. See our Fees page for more info.
• Student membership is awarded for two years. At the end of that time, you can choose to apply for full or affiliate membership of NZSTI; otherwise your membership will be automatically switched to observer. If your course of study is still ongoing, you may apply to extend your student membership for another year

How to apply

Simply head to the Apply page on our website, create an account or log into your existing NZSTI account, complete the short application form, and email your paid fees invoice to info@nzsti.org.
