Tax…. we might not like to think about it too often, but it still needs paying. And if you work as a self-employed translator or interpreter, there’s no-one else who is going to sort this out for you. Do you worry about completing your tax return? Feel unsure about what business expenses you can claim? Confused about what records you need to keep and for how long? Then this presentation is for you. Join us via Zoom to hear Theresa Tagavaitau and Mariam Malak from Inland Revenue/Te Tari Taake cover all this and more, with plenty of time for you to ask questions too.

We invite you to submit any questions you have in advance to auckland@nzsti.org with ‘Tax presentation’ as the subject line.

Registrations close on Tuesday 29 November at 11.59 pm and the Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants prior to the event.

Theresa’s slides and a recording of the presentation will be available after the event to registered participants.

PRESENTED BY:

Theresa Tagavaitau is a Community Compliance officer with Inland Revenue, where she spends a lot of time in the community helping small- to medium-sized businesses understand their tax obligations. Her goal is to provide customers with the right information at the right time.

Mariam Malak also works in Community Compliance and aims to help customers get things right from the start.

Organised by the Auckland branch for Auckland members
