NAATI recertification points: 10 points

This two-part webinar is for translators and copywriters who would like to learn more about search engine optimization and how to include SEO elements in their translations and the content they write. The webinar is also useful for language professionals who are thinking about setting up their own website or who have a website and would like to increase their online visibility and generate more traffic.

The webinar provides an overview of preferred search engines in various countries and the basic elements of SEO – both on-page and off-page. Participants will be introduced to keyword research, the elements of SEO-friendly content, user experience, link building, technical and mobile SEO and how to measure SEO. The focus will be on those SEO elements that translators and content creators are likely to come across including title tags, meta descriptions and web page content. We will also explore the art of finding the most appropriate keywords and how to build a strategy around targeting those and thus increasing both online visibility and site traffic.

Participants will have ample opportunity to ask questions and try out what they have learned in a hands-on activity.

This webinar is split into two one-hour sessions on consecutive Tuesdays. You can attend live or watch the recordings in your own time afterwards. The recordings will be available to all registered participants for 8 weeks.

Registrations close at 11.59 pm on Monday, 6 March.
