THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULLY BOOKED AND IS THE LAST ONE WE WILL BE RUNNING THIS YEAR
23 & 30 September 2023 (one workshop involving two sessions)
9.30 am to 12.00 pm
Online via Zoom
This workshop was so popular we are running it again!
Do you wonder what really happens in your brain while interpreting? Can a standardized note-taking system be used consistently? We invite you to discover and study Nanyi's innovative note-taking and memory retention algorithm in this comprehensive workshop. She aims to change the perception of note-taking as merely an auxiliary tool and emphasize its integral role in the memory retention processes for both novice and experienced interpreters.
Brush up your skills or prepare yourself more for your NAATI test.
In this workshop, Nanyi will take you on a deep dive into the complexities of note-taking and memory retention. You'll have the opportunity to learn and practice a carefully designed algorithm to help you improve your accuracy in the long consecutive mode. Additionally, you'll gain insightful feedback along with a practical framework to incorporate the algorithm into your professional practice.
This workshop comprises two sessions of 2.5 hours each. All registered participants will receive a recording of the sessions, along with the PDF slides and practice materials. However, we strongly recommend you attend the live workshop to fully benefit from Nanyi’s experience.
Spaces on this workshop are limited. Registration is open to all who missed out last time but priority is given to interpreters holding an MBIE entitlement note and approved by NAATI to sit a test (make sure you have entered your NAATI application number in your NZSTI account, e.g. APP1234).
Bookings will close on Thursday, 21 September at 11.59 pm and the Zoom link will be emailed the following day. If you don’t receive the link, check your spam folder or contact us for assistance.
