NZSTI Auckland Branch Meeting

INSIGHTS: SHARE KNOWLEDGE, ASK QUESTIONS

DATE: Thursday 18 March, 6.30 pm-8.30 pm*
*If Auckland has returned to Alert Level 1*

VENUE: University of Auckland,Arts 2 Building, 18 Symonds St,
Level 5, room 501 (Pat Hanan Room)

Join us for a social evening of sharing knowledge, asking questions and getting answers

With a new academic year getting underway, now is a good time for our experienced members to come together with students and members starting out in the profession to answer any questions they might have and share knowledge.

We're inviting a small number of translators and interpreters with varied backgrounds and specialisations to talk briefly about their work. Then we'll break into small groups to continue discussions over refreshments.

Students and novice translators and interpreters: ever wondered how to find clients? Set rates? Work with agencies? Find an area of specialisation? Then this evening is for you.

Experienced branch members: what do you know now that you wish you'd known when you were starting out? Come along and let others benefit from your collective wisdom! If you would like to join our group of volunteers and talk for 5-10 minutes about your work and background, please email auckland@nzsti.org.

The room will be open from 6.30 pm with our presenters starting at 7.00 pm.

Please pencil this event into your calendar now. We will go ahead if Auckland has returned to Alert Level 1. Keep your fingers crossed and we look forward to seeing you on 18 March!

VENUE: The Pat Hanan Room is in the Arts 2 Building. Entry and exit are by one door only. All other doors are locked. See the map below for details.
