Join us for an event focusing on what we can do to support each other professionally
Following up on some of the topics of our recent NZSTI Conference, this café-style event will allow plenty of time for catching up with other members and small-group discussions on the following topics:
Interpreters:
- NAATI certification from 2024 for working with government agencies (preparing for the NAATI test, importance of PD)
- Managing wellbeing as a freelance interpreter
- Connecting with other NZSTI interpreters: introducing NZSTI peer support groups (will count as PD)
Translators:
- Managing wellbeing and work/life balance as a freelance translator (work from home set-up, boundaries around work, digital overload)
- Establishing a mentoring scheme for translators
- Lunch time catch-ups with other translators (real/virtual)
Any questions? Please email auckland@nzsti.org
The room will be open from 6.30 pm with our discussions starting at 7.00 pm. Refreshments are provided. How to get there.
We look forward to seeing you on 4 August!
