Bio:
I have 20+ years' experience translating a wide variety of texts. I offer certified translations of official documents. I have specialist knowledge of New Caledonian French and other overseas varieties of French. I also have expertise in academic translation: history, literature, linguistics, education etc. I am an accomplished and published literary translator of a novel, short stories and poetry and I welcome all enquiries for literary translation. Since 2019, I have been Deputy Editor of the journal 'Shima'. I currently have an honorary position as Associate Professor at the University of Adelaide. I taught French and French translation at Macquarie University, Sydney for 13 years and have also taught at the Sorbonne IV, the University of Auckland and Victoria University. I have supervised and examined theses (PhD, Masters, Honours) on translation topics. I hold a PhD (French), an MA (First Class Honours) in French and a BA in French and English from the University of Auckland.
