Contracts are a part of every freelancer’s work, but how do you know when the terms you’re agreeing to are fair, lawful, or negotiable?
As part of NZSTI’s Business Toolkit series, this session will help translators and interpreters understand their rights and obligations when signing contracts for services.
Christchurch-based litigation specialist Andrew Riches (Partner, Saunders & Co Lawyers) will explain what to look out for in contract terms, what can and can’t be contested, and how to approach negotiations with professionalism and confidence.
This webinar aims to empower us to query or challenge proposed terms without fear of breaching the law. It will also provide space for attendees to ask questions about their own experiences and gain clarity on how to respond to future contract issues.
You can join us live or watch the recording at a later date. Please note: the recording will only be provided to registered participants.
The Zoom link will be sent to registered participants one day before the event. If you have not received the link, please email [email protected] for assistance (during business hours on weekdays only). Please check your spam email first.
