How do you respond when a transcreation client asks: “How much do you charge?” What should you include in a proposal before agreeing to a job?

This Business Toolkit webinar will cover practical approaches to pricing, proposals, contracts, and negotiation for language professionals interested specifically in transcreation. Many of these approaches are applicable to other language services as well. Nina Sattler-Hovdar will share strategies for asking the right questions before quoting, explaining the work involved, responding to pricing objections, and setting clearer expectations with clients.

The session will also look at how AI is affecting client expectations around cost and value, and how language professionals can communicate the expertise, judgement, and problem-solving involved in their work. Drawing on her background in translation, interpreting, multilingual marketing, and transcreation, Nina will provide practical examples that attendees can apply to their own practice.

This webinar is suitable for freelancers, language service providers, students, and practitioners wanting to strengthen the business side of their work. You can join us live or watch the recording at a later date. Please note: the recording will only be provided to registered participants.

The Zoom link will be sent to registered participants one day before the event. If you have not received the link, please email [email protected] for assistance (during business hours on weekdays only). Please check your spam email first.

This event is eligible for PD points according to the NAATI recertification catalogue category B3.

Registration for this event will close at 11.59 pm on Monday, 3 August 2026
