Preparing for NAATI recertification
Thursday, 23 July 2026
6.00 pm - 8.00 pm

10 NAATI PD points

Are you due to renew your NAATI certification? Unsure exactly what you need to complete, record, and submit in order to recertify?
This information session is designed specifically for NZSTI members preparing for NAATI recertification. This workshop will guide practitioners through what they need to do to meet recertification requirements with confidence.
NAATI will explain what practitioners are required to complete, including professional development and work practice logbooks via the NAATI Online portal, aligning activities with the Professional Development Catalogue categories, and lodging an application with supporting documentation. The session will also clarify common areas of confusion and allow time for detailed questions and discussion.

The workshop will be led by Michael Nemarich, Chief Operating Officer at NAATI. Michael oversees certification operations and practitioner support to ensure recertification processes are clear, robust, and accessible.
This session is highly relevant for practising interpreters and translators across all domains. It is also valuable for newer practitioners who want to understand certification requirements early in their careers. Attendees will leave with practical clarity, a stronger understanding of their obligations, and a clear plan for completing their recertification smoothly and on time.
You can join us live or watch the recording at a later date. Please note: the recording will only be provided to registered participants.

The Zoom link will be sent to registered participants one day before the event. If you have not received the link, please email [email protected] for assistance (during business hours on weekdays only). Please check your spam email first.

This event is free to attend.
