8 - 9.30 pm
Online via Zoom
In this two-part presentation followed by a Q&A section, Miriam Hurley, an experience translator and a seasoned LinkedIn user, will help us navigate this important but often-underused tool to increase the number of meaningful connections and make the most of existing ones.
LinkedIn is an often-neglected, high-potential tool for language professionals to find new clients, connect with colleagues, and create or boost their online presence.
The talk is divided into two sections. In the first, we look at LinkedIn functions for building a profile, like creating a multilingual profile. We look at the sections of the profile that are especially important for language professionals, such as the Publication section. We consider how to make the profile effective both for Google and LinkedIn search algorithms as well as human eyes. In the second section, we look at how to best use LinkedIn to connect to and expand our networks with a focus on prospective clients.
The webinar is targeted at beginning or intermediate LinkedIn users. The talk runs the gamut from quick, easy-to-enact tips to suggestions for developing a complete LinkedIn strategy.
This event will be recorded and the recording made available to all registered participants.
Registrations close on Wednesday, 15 February at 11.59 pm.
Registered participants will be sent the Zoom link on the morning of the event. Please remember to check your spam folder if you have not received an email with the link.
