Looking in, Reaching out - Growing the Conversation

NZSTI held a successful conference in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand, on 7-8 September 2024.

This year's theme, Looking in, Reaching out—Growing the Conversation, highlighted the importance of understanding translation and interpreting in a wider context and invited participants to explore and discuss the interconnected and interdependent nature of our professions. We focused on connections and how our surroundings influence both the nature of and approach to our work. We thought about looking in and reflecting on our own practices, processes and priorities while reaching out to those we serve and collaborate with.
