Each year, translators, interpreters and terminologists celebrate International Translation Day on 30 September.
FIT’s chosen theme for this year is United in Translation, which has inspired us to dedicate this year’s special ITD event to discussing the achievements and the challenges ahead in ensuring dignified and appropriate working conditions for translators and interpreters in Australia.
- How can we advocate for our rights with LSPs and clients?
- How has the increasing demand for remote work affected standards of practice?
- How can we ensure appropriate contractual conditions and decent remuneration?
- What are some of the key wins in this area and the hurdles still ahead?
