By booking this ONE workshop, you are registering for the two half-day sessions:

PART 1: Saturday, 25 June 2022, 10 am to 2 pm

AND
PART 2: Saturday, 9 July 2022, 10 am to 2 pm

Online via Zoom

Register for this NAATI Certified Provisional Interpreter test preparation workshop to find out what to expect during the test and to brush up on the skills you will be tested on. This is an online workshop that is split into two half-day sessions of four hours each. Participants need to attend both sessions to complete the workshop. Each session will cover the following:

PART 1

  • Information about CPI testing, such as format, topics and demonstrations.
  • CPI marking and expectations of performance
PART 2
  • Managing interaction
  • Practice interpreting role-plays and feedback

This workshop is aimed at people who have met the minimum training required by NAATI and who are therefore eligible to sit for a NAATI test. If you still need qualifications in order to be eligible to sit the CPI test, complete those qualifications first.

We will be regularly running this CPI test preparation workshop throughout the year.

This workshop is designed to support interpreters in achieving the new certification requirement, meaning that those who have received an entitlement note from MBIE may attend this workshop free of charge. You must upload your entitlement note to your NZSTI profile (first create a profile if you are not yet a member) before registering for the event in order to be able to attend free of charge.

There is a maximum of 20 participants per workshop. Due to the limited numbers, preference will be given to interpreters holding an entitlement note.  Registrations will open for other interpreters on 17 June 2022.

IMPORTANT: Please only book ONE workshop as there is high demand for them. Each workshop comprises two half days, as stated in the event details. IF YOU BOOK MORE THAN ONE WORKSHOP AT A TIME, BOTH OF YOUR REGISTRATIONS WILL BE CANCELLED and we will email you advising that you need to register again.

The zoom link and all relevant information will be emailed to you prior to the first workshop.
