NZTA/Waka Kotahi has recently announced it will be postponing the application process to become an NZTA-approved translator (for driver licence translations) until late next year. Translators currently on the list should have already received an email from NZTA asking if they would like to extend their approval for 12 months. Make sure you reply to that email, otherwise your approval will expire on 31 December 2021.
Remember that NZTA requires translators to hold NZSTI membership in order to be considered for its approved list of translators.
For those of you hoping to be added to the list of approved translators, look out for notifications this time next year!
