Bio:
I have over 18 years of professional experience as a translator, editor, interpreter, and translation trainer, working across New Zealand, the United States, Australia, and Vietnam. Over the past 10 years, my work has focused primarily on translating and editing Life Sciences documents, with particular emphasis on health plans, insurance providers, healthcare, clinical trials, and research studies. Much of this work has served Vietnamese communities living overseas, who often use a variation of Vietnamese that differs from the language used in Vietnam.
I am a native speaker of Vietnamese with formal training in translation and linguistics. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English and Translation from the University of Hue (Vietnam), a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics (Bilingual Studies) from the University of Massachusetts Boston (USA), and a Doctorate in Language Education from the University of Melbourne (Australia).
