NZSTI Auckland Branch August Meeting and AGM

NZSTI Auckland Branch August 2018 Meeting

~ Annual General Meeting ~

Please come along to the August 2018 meeting and AGM of the NZSTI Auckland branch, to be held on

DATE: TUESDAY, 21st August 2018, 6.30 p.m - 8.30 p.m. 

VENUE: University of Auckland, Arts 2 Building, 18 Symonds St, 

Level 5, room 501 (Patrick Hanan Room) 

NEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS WELCOME! Please join us and share your ideas and expertise! If you would like to join please email your interest as soon as possible to info@nzsti.org. 

PROGRAMME:

  • The evening will start at 6.30 pm with light refreshments, socialising and networking 
  • Annual General Meeting
  • Translators' Café: Following the success of our first translators’ café in April, the second will take place immediately following our AGM. This is a great opportunity to share your insights and network with like-minded professionals. You will be able to talk in groups about three topics, relevant to the profession and picked for the evening as follows:

    Quality assurance: what are the processes or tools used by our members? Share experiences.

    Contingency planning: what systems do we have in place in case of sickness or holidays?

    Marketing: what marketing techniques do we use? This may vary according to subject fields.

  • The discussions will last for one hour, followed by a quick chat about how the evening has gone, with feedback.
