Join us on Wednesday 3rd April for an evening with Patrick King, co-founder of NZTC International:

A Life in Translation

In this presentation, Patrick will summarise developments in the translation and interpreting industry over the past decades before moving on to review the current state of the industry and attempting to make some forecasts on its future, in particular focusing on the career prospects for freelancers and graduate linguists.

Co-founder of NZTC International, one of New Zealand’s oldest and largest translation agencies, Patrick is one of the founding members of the NZSTI and has served as its President and Vice-President. In his 30+ years in the translation industry, he has worked as a government translator, freelance translator, translation business founder, editor and director of a large, globally active language service provider.

The presentation will be followed by 30 minutes of discussion/questions and drinks and nibbles will be served prior to the presentation.
