The New Zealand Transport Agency has now CLOSED the procurement process for seeking registrations from interested parties who wish to be approved to issue translations of overseas driver licences (which are not in English) for driver licensing purposes from 1 January 2017. If you believe you have special circumstances for a late application PLEASE CONTACT NZTA directly as NZSTI is unable to assist.

If you expected to hear from them, and didn't, check your spam folder as some members have found the NZTA reply went to spam.

The process was as follows:

Interested members will need to visit the Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS) website at: where the tender is advertised.

The tender contains all of the information about how to apply.  Applicants will also need to establish a ‘Realme’ logon (if they do not already have one) to access the procurement documents, the instructions for doing so are on the webpage.

Please note that this also includes currently approved services and individuals who wish to continue to provide a service after 31 December 2016.

Applicants will need to be a minimum of an NZSTI Affiliate member with a qualification in translation from native language into English.
