Christchurch Translators Cafe May 2017

Christchurch Translator's Cafe May 2017!

When: 7pm Thursday, 18th May

Where: Meeting Room, McCafe Riccarton, Corner of Riccarton Road and Matipo Street

Cost: Free to attend (Only cost is the price of your choice of refreshments from the café menu)

Who: Anybody working in or interested in translation or interpreting in Christchurch

What: A chance to network with other Christchurch translators and interpreters.

Professional Development Topic: We are privileged to have Dr. Peter Low presenting a professional development session on the NZSTI Code of Ethics. This is an important professional development opportunity both for current members and anyone interested in applying to join the society, as the Code of Ethics is a core part of NZSTI. 

Peter is the NZSTI Canterbury Branch President and lecturer in translation at the University of Canterbury. He has a recently published book titled Translating Song - Lyrics and Text.

This event is organised by NZSTI Canterbury Branch and is free to attend. A full cafe menu will be available for attendees to purchase their own refreshments.
